10/18/2019 10:35:34 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 18: In a bid to further streamline security grid in the winter capital of Jammu, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have decided to deploy more cops in civvies in the city here to keep vigil post re-opening of darbar offices later this month.
Sources said on intelligence inputs that the anti-national forces could create trouble in Jammu city, it has been decided that apart from beefing up the regular security grid, the JKP would deploy around 2,000 cops in civvies in some of sensitive areas only in a bid to maintain extra vigil.
Sources said a decision in this regard has been taken after discussing the situation in Jammu with the Raj Bhawan and its advisors including Farooq Khan, who is well versed with such concerns.
Sources said there were inputs that Pakistan would try to derail peace in Jammu once the Move offices open in the city of temples.
"Reopening of Darbar office in Jammu is a major challenge as the enemy country is hell bent to pollute the environment of peace in this region and hence we cannot take any chances," said a senior official on the condition of anonymity.
He said the tensions created in Jammu by the anti-nationals earlier this year when situation had turned uneasy and even a bomb at exploded at the bus stand in the heart of the city, there was a need to keep "smart vigil."
It is pertinent to mention that despite aggression from the Pakistani side and alarming level of shelling on the Indian soil in border areas, Jammu has been maintain peace and harmony.
"But the point is that this stability of peace in Jammu is an eyesore for the Pakistan and thus we cannot take chances," the official said.
He said the government forces were fully prepared to foil nefarious designs of the anti-national forces.
