The Advisor stated this while inspecting several ongoing projects and directed early completion of the same so that holistic development of Srinagar city would be achieved and people would be provided quality housing facilities. The Advisor inspected Shehjaar Housing Apartments being constructed by SDA on vertical pattern with an estimated cost of Rs 306.25 crore. It would have 532 apartments on 2BHK and 3BHK pattern.
The Advisor also inspected proposed satellite colony at Gund Akasha at Parimpora Srinagar, besides Bemina Housing Colony and SDA assets at Sangarmaal.
While inspecting the pace of work at Shehjaar Apartments the Advisor directed the SDA to ensure timely completion of the project. He said that the project should be replete with all the modern housing facilities so that more people are attracted towards it. He said that it should have modern sewerage disposal and drainage network, besides also ensuring other infrastructural facilities which go inconsonance with modern housing and urban facilities. He said that the services of experts and consultants, if needed should also be explored for making the project landmark in vertical construction.
At the proposed site of Gund Akasha, the Advisor directed undertaking holistic measures so that a composite colony having all the modern facilities can be provided to the people. This, he said, would also augment the housing sector and would revolutionize the outlook of Srinagar city and its dwellers by providing both vertical-cum-plotted housing facilities, besides having all the innovative and modern dwelling amenities. The Advisor also undertook a tour of the Bemina Housing Colony, inspected the facilities being provided to the inhabitants and directed for augmenting the same.
While interacting with the residents of the colony, the Advisor assured them that the issues projected by them especially the macadamization of roads would be redressed in a time bound manner. He passed on-spot instructions for undertaking the repair and renovation of internal link roads.
