Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum demands benefit of ACP

JAMMU, Oct 20: The District Udhampur unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum held its monthly meeting here today under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, District President of the Forum.
The meet, attended by a large number of members of the Plus 2 community, demanded the benefit of Assured Career Progression (ACP) in favour of Plus 2 Cadre on the analogy of other Gazetted Officers in whose favour this benefit has been accorded. While appreciating the government for issuing regularization orders in favour of Incharge Chief Education Officers as Chief Education Officers, the meet demanded regularization of all other Incharge incumbents including Jt Directors, Principals Lecturers etc, serving in the School Education Department at the earliest. The meet also discussed the functioning of J&K BOSE and rued delay in the issuance of Exam Forms of the candidates of HSP1 whose fee stands remitted to the BOSE and demanded that the said forms be issued as early as possible.
It was also demanded that the Practical Examination of the candidates of HSP1 and HSP2 be conducted after the culmination of their Theory Examination to give them more time for preparing for the Theory Exam and provisional admission be given only to those candidates who are declared reappear in one subject only. The meet also appreciated the Director School Education Jammu for taking various initiatives for improving the academic standard and ensuring holistic development of the students. They demanded that the Promotee lecturers in various subjects be adjusted in various institutions against the vacancies and Principals and lecturers, especially those serving in the hilly and farflung regions and who have completed their tenures in their respective institutions, be transferred and posted in their own locality and that the Trainings be conducted only during Summer/ Winter breaks.
