ReT Forum demands release of 8 months' salary before Diwali

Udhampur, Oct 20: An emergency meeting of J & K ReT Teachers' Forum held today at Udhampur under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma ,State Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and District President Lekh Raj Parihar. The meeting was attended by the executive members of the Forum. While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma said that teachers Grade lll , newly regularised ReTs and Un-regularised ReTs are without salary for last 8 months and these teachers are facing very much difficulties to provide basic necessities of life including proper food and clothing to their children and required medicines to their old and ailing parents; they are also unable to pay the monthly installments of the loans and banks are also forcing for the same . He also said that NPS teachers are also without salary for last 3-4 months and suffering badly. He urged upon the Governor administration to come up for the rescue of these teachers by releasing their salaries/dues before Diwali so that they may be able to celebrate the festive season. He further appealed the Director School Education Jammu to convert left out graduates / undergraduates to teachers Grade II / Teachers Grade III respectively and issue regularization list of Un-regularised ReTs.
