Jammu, Oct 20: Sikh Progressive Front organises "SARBAT DA BHALAA TOURNAMENT dedicated to the 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Devj Ji, at K.K Hakku Stadium Jammu. The tournament shall be played on knock out basis from 20th to 26th of October.
The inaugural match was played between J&K Police Hockey Team and Jammu Legend. J&K Polce Hockey team won this match by seven two. Bharat Sharma of Poklice team was declared man of the Match. The match was officiated by Karanjit Singh, S Dalvinder Singh, J.S Reem, S Iqbal Singh and Dalbir Mehta. Mr Satvir Singh IAF Coach is the tournament Director.
Mukesh Singh IGP Jammu (IPS) was the chief Guest who declared open the tournament and while inaugurating the tournament appreciated the organisor of the tournament for having organised such a mega sports event in Jammu after a very long time. The team participating from out side the State will be an inspiration for the budding youths of the State especially young players. As per fixture tomorrows matches are as under , First match shall be p,layed between Hira Nagar Hockey Club and GNN Club at 12.00 noon, second match shall be played between Gurdaspur Xi and Khadur Sahib XI at 1.30 PM and the third match will be played between Punjab Electricity Board and Pathankot Club at 3.00 PM
