Vishwakarma Shobha Yatra taken out

Jammu, Oct 20: On the eve of "Vishwakarma Pooja celebrations 2019", Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha (J&K) organized a grand "Sabha Shoba Yatra". The Yatra was flagged off by Chedi Lal Vishwakarma, President and S. Inderjeet Singh, (Grandson of former president of India S. Giani Jail Singh), Vice president Akhil Bhartya Vishwakarma Mahasabha, Kolkatta,( ABVMS), along with local leaders including Rashpal Verma & Kuldeep Verma (Ex- Vice chairmen OBC Board), RL Chargotra, Vice President and Puran Chargotra (Advisor) Akhil Bhartya Vishwakarma Mahasabha. People from all parts of Jammu province including children and Women participated in the Shobha Yatra. Chanting of "Jai Vishwakarma" and singing of Bhajans on the slow moving trolleys added religious touch to the environment. Total of five " Zhankis" travelled through the city roads passing through Canal Road, Jewal Chowk, Gummat, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Shalamar, Indira Chowk, K.C Chowk and culminated back in the Vishwakarma Temple Gurha Bakshi Nagar Jammu. Community Langer was also arranged by the Sabha. Shobha Yatra depicted various scenes of Lord Vishwakarma like making of Trishul for Lord Shiva, Sudershan Chakra for Lord Krishna, Making of Golden Lanka for Ravana, Making of Ram Setu etc. Yatra was greeted at various locations by others organisations. J&K Ravidas Sabha welcomed the Yatra at Guru Ravidas Dwara Krishna Nagar, Som Nath Majotra ( president BSP) along with his associates at Jewal Chowk, Management of Nek Hotel had arranged refreshment at Gummat while Prajapati Sabha J&K and Hotel Yatri welcomed the Shoba Yatra at Indira Chowk with stalls of drinking water and fruit..
Shashi Verma, President of the Sabha told that a tradition has been kept alive. He further told that Vishwakarma Day will be celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety, in each Vishwakarma Temple, on 28-10-2019 (Monday), the day following Diwali.
Puran Chargotra, (Former President of PVS) who was present in the Shobha Yatra stated that taking out of Vishwakarma Shobha Yatra, every year is a tradition and Vishwakarma Sabha (PVS) is striving to keep it up. He further added that the response of all sections of society, especially those associated with industry and technical jobs is appreciable. Organising team included Charanjeet Chargotra (Vice Prez), Raman Chalotra (Youth President), Captain Lal Chand (Gen Secretary), Ramesh Angotra, Ram Lal (Principal), Sham Chargotra, Balwant Kataria ( Education Secretary), Vinod Jaral, Rajinder Verma, Om Kataria, Jagdish Raj, Gurmukh Singh (from Digiana), Bittu Verma (from Bhagwati Nagar), Mangal Dass Verma and Purshotam Chargotra from Mishriwala, Joginder Angotra (from New Plot).
