BDC elections big joke with people of State: AAP
10/20/2019 11:02:07 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 20: Apropos to the news item published in a section of press titled "Empowering Panchyats a Big Initiative of Modi government." The J&K Aam Aadmi Party in a press release issued here said that conducting BDC election in the state declaring on Party basis at the eleventh hour, when all opposition leaders were under detention & also without implementation of 73rd amendment of Indian Constitution, is in fact empowering BJP & not the Panchayats, and added that it is indirect election and thus the Chairpersons are not true representatives of public because the electorate for BDC elections are Panches & Sarpanches who contested the elections on non-Party basis.
The release further said that these elections are in fact big joke with people, democracy and democratic institutions at the hands of BJP who hither-to- fore blamed NC & Congress as also PDP for destroying constitutional institutions and now when BJP is at the helm of affairs & that too when the state is under Presidents rule, they are repeating the same as done by NC, Congress & PDP, the release said and added that there appears no difference between NC, PDP, Congress and the BJP, who have now cleverly managed to induct their henchmen through backdoor entry and provided them chances to distribute the booty already done by erstwhile all traditional Parties.
