YP celebrates Maharaja Gulab Singh's birth anniversary

jammu, Oct 21: The birth anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh, the founder of royal Dogra dynasty and first Maharaja of the J&K, was celebrated by Young Panthers at Panthers Party headquarters.
Led by Partap Singh Jamwal, State Vice President Young Panthers, the activists vowed to guard the state from evil forces. Speaking on the occasion, Partap Singh threw light on the life and achievements of Maharaja Gulab Singh.
Lashing out at the alleged Kashmir-centric approach of the successive governments, Partap Singh said, "Maharaja Gulab Singh was the king of Jammu, who purchased Kashmir and also annexed Ladakh to form the State of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Partap Singh Jamwal, State Vice President, Young Panthers said that the Young Panthers stands for reorganization of Jammu & Kashmir State and not for dissolution of the present State into two union territories.
Secondly the Young Panthers stands for 'Twin States' in Jammu & Kashmir namely that of Kashmir Valley & Jammu State, both of which shall function as a Confederation. About Ladakh region the Panthers Party leaves the decision to the people of Ladakh region for a UT or any other.
Shanker Singh Chib, State Secretary - JKNPP, Tarsem Singh, District President - Young Panthers, Sunil Sharma, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Tinku Sharma, Kirti Fangotra and Nikhil Sharma also paid tributes to the Maharaja Gulab Singh.
