udhampur, Oct 21: Police commemoration day parade was today observed at DPL Udhampur to pay rich tributes to martyrs, who sacrificed their lives while serving the nation.
Sujit Kumar, IPS DIG U-R Range accompanied by Piyush Singla, IAS Dy. Commissioner Udhampur and Rajiv Pandey, IPS SSP Udhampur and Rajinder Singh Katoch, Addl. SP Udhampur presided over the function and the Commemoration Day parade.
All the families of police martyrs of District Udhampur besides retired police personnel, prominent citizens & distinguished guests were invited for the Police Commemoration Day Parade to pay homage to Police martyrs.
Rajiv Pandey, IPS SSP Udhampur read over the names of martyrs as a mark of homage, respect and remembrance to the martyrs. He also thanked all the family members of. Martyrs, prominent citizens, retired police personnel of Udhampur and media fraternity for attending the commemoration day parade.
After the guard of honour, floral tributes were paid at Shaheedi Smarak by the family members of Police martyrs, prominent citizens, retired police personnel and distinguished guests. As a token of remembrance, gift packs were given to all the family members of Police Martyrs by District Police, Udhampur. Kameshwar Puri, Dy.SP SO to DIG UR Rangr, Santokh Raj Deol, SDPO Chenani, Himmat Singh, DySP DAR, Dr. Rohit Chadgal DySP Hqrs. Udhampur among others besides media fraternity of Udhampur was also present on the occasion. |
