kathua, Oct 21: Football Team of GDC Kathua was felicitated in the college for winning intercollege Men Football Tournament organized by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education University of Jammu. In the finals, GDC Kathua defeated Jammu University Football team in the tie Breaker by 6-4. Aniket Rajput of GDC Kathua scored 02 Goals. Earlier GDC Kathua defeated GDC Hiranagar by 4-0 in the Semifinal and ASCOMS Jammu 1-0 in the Quarter finals. Lokeshwar Singh, Vishal Sharma, Randeep Kumar, Paramveer Singh, Jatin Rasotra, Narayan Sharma, Gurinder Pal Singh, Sudhir Kumar, Ritik Singh, Krishna Sharma, Aniket Rajput, Nikhileshwar Singh, Shantanu, Akankash Gupta, Aman Kumar, Ayush Singh Pathania, Chakshu Kalgotra were the players of college Football team who participated in the tournament. In a small function organized in the college, Principal of the college Prof. Assa Ram Sharma felicitated the football team. He appreciated the efforts of college Physical Director Dr. Balbinder singh for preparing a best team for representing the college. He said that the college is showing excellent performance in games and sports. On this occasion Dr. P. K. Rao, Prof. Sumnesh Jasrotia, Prof. Jasvinder Singh, Dr. Sumit Dubey, Dr. Kehar Singh, Dr. Balbinder Singh, Dr. Rachna, Dr. Varinder Singh, Shekhar Raina and Ajay Sharma were also present. |
