Jammu, Oct 22: In Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, Department of Electrical Engineering, organised a guest lecture on "GIS and Motivation & Career Planning" for the students of 7th semester of Electrical Engineering. The guest speaker was Er. K.R Suri, FIE, Charted cum professional Engineer GM (Retd.) Power Grid, certified career Councillor. The lecture was divided into two sessions. The session was begun with the latest technology Gas Insulated Switch Gear which is used in power system which is core of Electrical. The lecture was broadly focused on how to use GIS technology in latest trends. "A Positive mind finds opportunity in everything. A negative mind finds fault in everything". In the next session he guided the final year students about the opportunities and discussed about the career options in private as well as public sector which will be beneficial for them. The lecture edged the young minds a little more towards the bright future that lies ahead of them. Prof. (Dr) A.K. Srivastava (Director YCET), Er. B.R. Verma, (Chief Coordinator YCET), Er. Loveenesh Talwar (HOD Electrical Department), along with the faculty members were present there. The session was concluded with the vote of thanks by Er. Loveneesh Talwar. |
