Jammu, Oct 22: A seminar was organized by Govt. College for Women, Bhagwati Nagar on the occasion of 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The participants spoke about Guru Nanak Dev Ji's life and teachings of universal brotherhood, religion's equality, reciting Gods' name , social service and earning livelihood through honest means. The students were enlightened on the subject by the speakers.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college Prof. Raj Shree Dhar asked the students to follow the footsteps of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and treat everyone with generosity & without discrimination. She said that His teachings are universal and stand the rest of time. The seminar was adjudged by Dr. Pavanjeet Bali, Dr. Preety Salathia and Dr. Ravinder Kumar. The programme was organized by Ms Saroj Mengi and the students. The winners of the seminar were Yashaswani, Poorvika and Ramneek of B.Com 1st Sem. |
