| Election staff along with material dispatched to polling stations for BDC elections | | |  Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Oct 23: The election staff alongwith polling material and security men was dispatched from DC Office Complex, Ramban to 11 polling stations setup in all eleven blocks of district Ramban for the smooth conduct of Block Development Council (BDC) election in district here today.
The BDC polling is scheduled on 24th of October, 2019 (Thursday) in the district. It was given out that polling shall start from 9 am to 1 pm in the district. Total 1150 voters including 353 female voters will decide the fate of 43 candidates.
As decided the counting of the votes will be started immediately at 3 PM and the result will be declared at the same polling station same day.
A foolproof security mechanism and other arrangements have been made by the District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner), Ramban, Nazim Zai for safe and hassle-free transportation of polling staff and material.
The DEO directed the officers and officials associated with the elections to work with utmost dedication and devotion for successful completion of BDC polls.
DC informed that special security arrangements have been made for sensitive polling stations at Gool, Banihal, Khari and Ukhral. |
