Sprawling Buds ICSE School dominates in sport climbing compettion

Jammu, Oct 23: Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu dominated the first day of the J&K State Open Sport Climbing Competition which started at the Tenzing Sherpa Sport Climbing Wall in the school campus here today. While Randeep Parihar and Sutikshan Partap Singh of the school won Gold medals in the Boys and Mini Boys categories Rudra Partap Singh and Mahima Sharma also grabbed Silver medals in the Boys and Mini Girls categories. However, the first three positions in the Sub Junior Boys category were shared by Ranveer Thakur of Aryan Oriental Convent Hr. Sec. School, Udhampur, Gaurav Bhagat and Sahil Kumar, both of Shining Star Academy, Muthi, Jammu, respectively. Similarly, the Gold and the Bronze medals in the Mini Girls categories were bagged by Mandeep Kour of R M Public School, Chowadi, Jammu and Nitika Sharma of St. Xavier Sr. Sec. School, Barnai, Jammu. Competitions in other categories were in progress. Earlier the competition in which over 200 boys and girls are participating was inaugurated by the Chairman of Tawi Trekkers J&K Anil Goswami, former Union Home Secretary, in the presence of Patron of the club Ashwani Sharma, former MLA; Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman, Team Jammu who is also Co-Chairman of the club ; Principal of Apple Kids Bantalab, Arti Sharma; President of the club Ram Khajuria; Legal Advisor of ther club Prem Sadotra; Yogeshwar Kumar, Vice President of Mountaineering Association of J&K and Sumit Khajuria, a senior mountaineer.
