Jammu, Nov 11: Government Degree College R.S. Pura, celebrated National Education Day, the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
Principal of the college, Dr. Sunita Sudan was the chief guest on the occasion. Proceedings of the programme were initiated by Prof. Bindu Kumari with a warm welcome Address followed by Sarasvati Vandana.
NSS volunteers namely Sourav Sharma, Poornima, Aastha, Neha, Ankita spoke on the life history of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, great freedom fighter, eminent educationist and the first Union Minister of Education. Dr. Sunita Sudan, also enlightened the students about various Pre and Post-Independence activities carried out by Maulana Azad.
The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Sandeep where she thanked principal of the college for her guidance and support, entire staff and NSS volunteers for managing the event in a smooth manner. |
