SRINAGAR, Nov 11: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today held a meeting with the representatives of Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (GPC), Srinagar to discuss the arrangements made for the celebrations of Birth Anniversary (Gurupurbh) of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (GPC), Srinagar informed him that on November 12, a religious program will be held at Chattipadshahi, Rainawari, which will be attended by the huge gathering to celebrate 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner, Kashmir, Bilal Ahmed Bhat; Chairman GPC, Jaspal Singh; President Chattipadshahi, Srinagar, Gurdeep Singh; Secretary GPC, Navtej Singh and other members of the GPC.
The Div Com reviewed the arrangement made in this regard. He extends all the support from Divisional Administration to the committee.
He directed the PDD to provide round the clock electricity at the venue besides providing an additional generator set.
He also directed the PHE department to ensure uninterrupted water supply with additional water tanker service at the venue.
The SMC was directed to install two mobile toilets at the venue and to maintain cleanliness in the area. The traffic department was asked to ensure smooth traffic movement at the celebration venue at all roads leading to it.
