ABVP activists burn the effigy of VC CU

Jammu, Nov 11: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Mahanagar today organised a strong protest demonstration against the Cluster University administration demanding to postpone the date sheet of all semesters of UG courses. Students from various colleges of Cluster University under the leadership of City Secretary Parteek Raina, Akash Bhagat from MAM College, Nikhil Parihar from GGM Science College, Sunaksh Gupta from Commerce College and Yashaswani Rajwal from Gandhi Nagar College gathers outside the MAM College and after that march towards Divisional Commissioner Office. After reaching Div Com office students burn the effigy of Vice-Chancellor Cluster university and raise slogans Down Down CU VC Down Down. While addressing the students Parteek Raina said that we have approached VC office various times but they always shows lack of concern. He said that according to the norms of Semester system minimum 90 lectures must be delivered for each subject but this semester system due to the unforeseen circumstances created by the government post abrogation of Article 370 and the college professors were also involved in other government related activities and the number of lectures which were delivered are about 30-35 lectures only.
