Jammu, Nov 11: Catering with the needs of locals especially youth and senior citizens, Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West started construction works for a new library and Store at Maharaja Hari Singh Park, Extension New Karan Nagar, Ward 9 and dedicated it to the students, locals and senior citizens across Jammu West Assembly segment and other areas.
Sharma was also accompanied by Corporator Ward 9 Suneet Raina, Mandal President BJP Raveesh Mengi, local residents including many youth and political activists of the area. The works are being done under the supervision of JMC and funds to the tune of Rupees 8.37 lakhs were also sanctioned from the CDF (Constituency Development Fund) scheme of Former MLA which was given during his tenure and its work was delayed due to code of conduct of elections and other reasons, but the work was taken up as soon as the process got cleared.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that there was a dire need of construction of a library for youngsters as there was no similar place in the Ward and other adjoining wards where students could come and study. |
