Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 11: After having previously rebelled against the Peoples Democratic Party, a former MLC from north Kashmir is likely to skip his newly found love for the Peoples Conference led by Sajad Lone as well.
Sources said the said leader from north Kashmir had been close to Sajad Lone and Imran Ansari for around a year, since the day he started speaking against the PDP leadership.
The leader in question had once even embarrassed PDP President Mehooba Mufti by saying that he was not under any pressure to stay away from her party.
The former MLC was often seen close to Sajad Lone and Ansari eating Wazwan with them.
Now, however, after the arrest of Sajad Lone and Imran Ansari, the former MLC has allegedly got fed up of such politics and thus may leave them.
Sources said the said leader is in contact with some quarters to decide about the "future course of action."
Sources said among those who have indirectly approached him, is a group of politicians who were either ousted from the PDP or had quit the party in the last around a year.
Interestingly the politician was seen among the favorites of Sajad Lone as the former had openly rebelled against Mehbooba Mufti after her government collapsed in 2018.
He would often speak against Mehbooba and would also make similar tweets.
"But as of now he is looking for new opportunities," said a source.
It was reliably learnt that the said politician has been in good relations with a senior PDP leader from north Kashmir for long.
"They both may go the same way in future and this is something for the coming times to decide," said the source in the know of the matter.
Despite repeated attempts the said politician was not available for comments.
