AYUSH Medical Camp held at Gai Dessa

Doda, Nov 12: Continuing its efforts of providing AYUSH system of medicine in the District, a free medical checkup and awareness camp under National AYUSH Mission was held at remotest area of Gai Dessa in Doda today. The camp was organized by Department of Indian System of Medicine Doda. During the camp, a medical check up and screening among more than 200 patients were conducted by team of expert doctors and paramedical staff from ISM Department Doda including Dr Irfana Gundroo, Dr Mubashir Hussain Mintoo, Dr Tariq Saleem, Dr Ashwani Kumar, Noor Mohammad and Raies Ahmed.
The doctors minutely examined the problems of the people and gave them necessary prescription and advised them for dietary and lifestyle modification besides free medicine among all the patients were distributed on spot by the department. The public on this occasion was also made aware about various components of National AYUSH Mission. Speaking on the occasion, Local Sarpanch of the area Hem Raj thanked and lauded the efforts of ISM Department Doda for conducting such camp in their area, adding that it will surely benefit the local populace of the area. The Sarpanch appealed the department concerned to organize such more camps in their area so that people from far-flung of the Dessa area would get better health care awareness and treatment at their door steps.
