11/12/2019 9:30:21 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 12: A delegation of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation under the aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh met with the Union Minister of State for PMO, Department for Development of North-Eastern Region at New Delhi .
The delegation was led by its State President Dev Raj Thakur. The main demand putforth by the Federation was the Creation of Autonomous Independent Education Commission for UTs OF J&K and Ladakh. The Federation said that the education standard in the whole Jammu and Kashmir is not at par with the needs of the Nation . The Curriculum, Textbooks, Appointments, Transfers , Promotions of Teachers are highly discriminatory . So to bring the Education standard in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh , Creation of Autonomous Independent Education Commission at par with Indian Education Commission is the need of the hour. Federation Demands a transparent /rational transfer policy should be framed and implemented transparently to make the system work efficiently . Lack of proper implementation of present transfer policy created the frustrations among the Teachers as well as Grade-2& Grade-3 teachers .Those who are serving in far-flung areas of the erstwhile State since long and they have lost all hopes and get frustrated due to favoritism in the Department. The pick and choose in recent past transfers are made in violation of much talked about transfer policy .
