Early Times Report
Poonch, Nov 12: People of Balakot and Mankot have alleged that they were neglected by the Tehsil Administration because no government official visits these tehsils despite a goverment order issued by the then SDM Mendhar. Sources said here today They said that people have been facing many problems in these tehsils. In this regard the then SDM Mendhar had issued an order that every department will depute its staff on rotational basis to tehsils of Mankot and Balakot to listen to the grievances of the people yet nothing was done in this regard and people continue to suffer they added.
They said the departments like PDD, PHE Agriculture and education mainly have no access of people of these tehsils. According to order these departments were supposed to depute their officials on rotational basis to these tehsils to have review of the problems of the locals and simultaneously to solve them, they added.
Sources said in tehsil Mankot the building for the purpose, was hired on rent but despite that no department did any efforts to send its staff who could listen to the people of these two tehsil which fall close to line of control. They had to cover a long distance to reach the sub division office at Mendhar for even a petty work for which they have to make extra efforts they added.
People in an appeal urged the district administration of Poonch to depute the staff of every department to tehsils of Mankot and Balakot on rotational basis to take stock of the problems being faced by the locals in far flung areas of tehsil Mankot and Balakot in sub division Mendhar of Poonch district.
