1503 bunkers complete, work on remaining in full swing

Rajouri, Nov 12: District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today reviewed the progress on the construction of Border bunkers here at a meeting of the officers of Rural Development Department and PWD- the twin executing agencies. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh, Chief planning officer Shama-Un Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Development Sushil Khajuria, Assistant Executive Engineers, Junior Executive Engineers,VLWs and others.
It was informed that 1503 bunkers have been completed, while work on 2407 is in full swing.
Giving details, the meeting was informed that RDD has completed 870 out of 1892 bunkers including 1745 individual and 147 community bunkers. It was further informed that work on 383 is at foundation level, 279 at superstructure level, 242 at slab level. Regarding R&B Rajouri division, the concerned officer said that out of 133 bunkers including 61 individual and 72 community bunkers, 63 stands completed. Similarly in Nowshera division, out of 1116 bunkers including 1000 individual and 116 community bunkers, 535 individual and 35 community bunkers stand completed. He further informed that work on 850 has been started.
The DDC asked the concerned to work with devotion and added zeal and complete the works within already set deadlines.
