'Unitum Paceum'- 2019 concludes at Heritage School

Jammu, Nov 13: The second edition of Heritage School MUN Conference concluded on a pulsating note with a glittering closing ceremony on Wednesday 13th November,2019. The theme of the HSJMUN 2019 was 'UnitumPaceum -United For Peace'.The 3 day event which started with a phenomenal opening ceremony presided by Mr. Akash Pradhan, Principal ,Heritage School, as the Chief Guest witnessed a participation of over 300 students .The participating schools included G.D. Goenka, MHACS Nagbani, Jodhamal Public School, Banyan International and British International School , as well as a large number of individual participants .The sessions simulation of UNSCO,UNDP,UNHRC JKLSM, AIIPM and Lok Sabha saw some heated and spirited debates on matters of international and national consequence. Ashutosh Bajaj, CEO,Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. , J&K, was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the HSJMUN . He shared his insights on United Nations, its functions and role in maintaining world peace. He also highlighted the importance of MUN as school activity which not only promotes communicative skills but also plays an important role in holistic development of students. He complimented the school for providing an apt platform to the students to get a feel of real world problems and brain storm for solutions, as the young of today are the leaders of tomorrow.
