The Performers- NGO organises annual programme

Jammu, Nov 13: Urja Singh, President of a Jammu based NGO 'The Performers" has taken a unique initiative of expressing gratitude to members of Armed Forces and also serving weaker section of society. The NGO is involved in number of welfare activities, in particular related to Specially Abled Citizens and Children.
An annual programme was held at Abhinav Theatre where a number of dignitaries attended the function. Farooq Khan graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The function had a fervor of Patriotism. In conjunction with Sainik Welfare Deptt (J&K), twenty War Widows were invited for a function.
With a sense of pride, those Veer Naris were felicitated by "The Performers".
In addition, three decorated soldiers were also felicitated .
Col RK Sharma (KC SC SM), Hony Capt Bana Singh (PVC) and Hony Capt Sansar Chand (MVC). In a Jnique initiative, certain citizens and NGOs were felicitated for adoption of Veer Na'is families and for the services rendered by these NGOs to address the problems of Martyr Families. Director Sainik Welfare Deptt (J&K) Brig Harchran Singh, VSM informed that though Govt is looking after our Martyrs families, it is the duy of society to provide psychological support to Veer Naris.
