Udhampur, Nov 13: Shocking but true that worst working culture in District Hospital Udhampur has been exposed few day ago when it was learnt that a patient was being administered expired medicine .
Attendants of the patient (name withheld) noticed that the bottle of Normal Saline being administered to the patient had expired on October 2019.
Immediately the attendants alerted the hospital staff and the concerned nurse promptly changed the bottle with a new one.
By then some pictures of the expired bottle were clicked by some people which went viral.
The angry attendants and other patients said that they are at the mercy of God while the hospital authorities are not taking their noble profession seriously.
The patients also said that there should be a check on the working of the hospital authorities as the concerned Superintendent rarely pays any visit to the patients because of which such things happens
We appeal to deputy commissioner Udhampur Piyush Singla please contact with senior officer of concern authority and take strict action against concerned staff who use expired medicine in district hospital Udhampur and play with the health of poor patients. |
