SPMR College celebrates Guru Nanak's birth anniversary

Jammu, Nov 14: Government SPMR College of Commerce today celebrated 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
The programme was inaugurated by the Principal of the college Prof. Anil Gupta. S.Fateh Singh (Secretary, DGPC), S. Paramjeet Singh, Mrs Harbans Kour and S. Paramjit Singh from Sikh Aid Organisation were the guests present on the occasion.
The students of the college recited the Gurbani, delivered speeches on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji and also highlighted the relevance of Guru ji's teachings in the present world. The special performance was traditional sikh martial art (Gatka) which was highly appreciated by the guests and students.
Momentoes were distributed to encourage and appreciate the participants. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Parwinder Kaur (HOD Punjabi) and Prof. Sarabjeet Kour Sudan. Others present were Prof. Kiran Kumari Raina, Prof. H.L Bhat, Prof. Monika Malhotra, Prof. Rashmi Arya, Prof. Harpreet Kour, Prof. Shipra Gupta, Prof. Anjana Chib, Prof. Rajni Bala and Prof. Kajal Samyal.
