JUVC Inaugurates Teachers, officers Club

Jammu, Nov 14: Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu, today inaugurated Teachers and Officers Club at University of Jammu in a function organized jointly by Jammu University Teachers Association and Jammu University Officers Welfare Association. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dhar shared his visionary thoughts about the idea of inception of Teachers and Officers Club and its important role in the institutional growth. Prof. Dhar said that the platform will be a common forum for deliberations among all the stake holders of the University, particularly Teachers and Officers.
It would provide a platform for conducting intellectual and recreational activities besides being a space for University fraternity. Earlier, Prof. Neeru Sharma, President JUTA welcomed Prof. Manoj Kumar Dhar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu as Chief Guest of the function, Prof. R.K. Ganjoo, Registrar, University of Jammu, Prof. Jasbir Singh, Deans Students Welfare, Deans, Directors, Rectors, Heads of the Departments, Faculty members and Officers of the University. Prof. Sharma shared her views about the functioning of the club and its possible role in paving the forum for the Teachers and Officers interactions and its significance in improving the functioning of the University at large. On the occasion, Mr. Rajinder Singh, President JUOWA also deliberated on the functioning of the club and its significance in understanding the Teachers and Officers related issues. The function was organized with the active participation of Dr. Pritam Singh, Joint Secretary and Dr. Meghna Dhar, Treasurer JUTA and Dr. Sumita Sharma and Dr. Dhritika Singh, secretary and treasurer of JUOWA. Proceedings of the function were conducted by Dr. Sikander Pal Choudhary, Secretary JUTA, while vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Vijay Saigal, Vice President JUTA, to all those who contributed in making up the Teachers and Officers Club a reality, especially Prof. J.P.S. Joorel and Prof. K. S. Charak and made this event successful.
