ABVP stages protest demands action against police administration

Jammu, Nov 14: ABVP Unit of Jammu University blocked the road outside jammu university and staged dharna demanding action against the police administration for the lathicharge on innocent students and abvp activist yesterday who were protesting for their rightful demands like jobs for youth, filling vacant posts. Led by Jammu Univeristy President Shubam Amar , students gathered at Jantr Mantr and later marched to university gate. While addressing the students Shubam said that 5 Karykartas from jammu university got severe injuries during yesterdays protest and one of the abvp karykarta from hindi department dileep sharam received some serious injuries on foot during lathicharge. Ravail Parihar NEC Member ABVP said that when students were demanding to meet Lt. Governor G.C Murmu the students have been given the reward of lathi by the police administration , which is a serious issue and more than 15 karykartas of abvp have received injuries.
Ajay Thakur Vice President ABVP JU who also reached injuries yesterday said that 50000 jobs promised by Governor few months ago has not yet been fulfilled and administration should reduce the age of retirement from 62 to 60 years by which new employement opportunity can be created and for that he is ready for more injuries and lathis.
While addressing the students on roads Abhishek Sharma Vice President ABVP JU, Manik Reshi Joint Secretary ABVP JU , Ajay Lakhotra Joint Seretary ABVP JU , Joginder Kumar Department Incharge Sonika kaul said that more intensified agitation will be launched if administration fails to take into cognizance the serious issue of lathi charge. They said that ABVP JU gives Administration a time of 7 days for the framing an executive enquiry against the police and if it fails to do that 8th day they will be on raods.
