Jammu, Nov 14: Gandhi Nagar Police today arrested one vehicle lifter and recovered two stolen cars.
According to sources, to work out the vehicle theft cases of Jammu City South Zone, SP City South, Jammu constituted a Special Investigation Team, headed by Inspector Gurnam Singh Choudhary, SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar.
"The team during investigation, conducted raids in suspected locations and rounded up number of suspects, based on which one Rajinder Kumar resident of Chak Aslam, R S Pura was apprehended", they said, adding that during questioning, he admitted in involvement in two vehicle theft cases.
"On his disclosure, two Maruti-800 cars bearing registration number JK02AG-2480 involved in case FIR No. 284/2019 of P/S Gandhi Nagar and JK02Q-7732 seized U/S 102 Cr.PC were recovered from his possession", they said, adding that further investigation is going on. |
