Jammu, Nov 14: Local residents and Management of D.S. Heritage Scholars School of Kathua District demands Lord Shiva's Mahanaal site to be promoted for educational tour picnic spots and tourism destination place at par with national level.
An appeal from the local residents of Kathua district and management of D.S. Heritage Scholars School (Barwal Morh, Kathua) made to present Lieutenant Governor of J&K State Girish Chandra Murmu alongwith the administration wings from both Education Department and Tourism Department of Jammu & Kashmir to intervene in the matter in order to ensure that State Government must take appropriate concrete steps towards bringing the Mahanaal Shiv Caves on tourist map of Jammu & Kashmir State and promotion of educational tour picnic spots and tourism sector in Kathua District.
In a handout statement issued here, "it is really sad that this place of religious importance lacks basic amenities viz. infrastructure development, shopping malls, proper road connectivity and 24x7 rural electrification of entire Mahanaal sites", Parveen razwal, a social help-work activist of Kathua district quoted on this.
