Job racket busted in Ramban, 2 fraudsters' arrested

Jammu, Nov 14: J&K Police in Ramban district achieved a major success by busting the fake appointment orders and other forged documents from two fraudsters who on pretext of providing job in army (TA) and have duped lakhs of rupees from many persons hailing various part of J&K
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Qasim son of Chiddi Mohammad resident of Kangan District Ganderbal and Ashiq yousuf son of Mohd Yousuf resident of Lar Ganderbal.
Reports said that one person Namely Bilal Ahmad resident of Ashar Banihal lodged a written complaint in PS Banihal that Mohammad Qasim duped Rs1.5 lakh from him and his friends on pretext of providing job in Indian Army (TA) by providing fake joining orders.
Upon his complaint a case FIR NO 137/2019 U/S 420/465/468 IPC stand registered in PS Banihal.
On the directions of SSP Ramban Anita Sharma, a police party was constituted which immediately swung into action and arrested the main fraudster namely Mohammad Qasim along with his associate Ashiq yousuf recovered fake appointment order copies/joining letters of 161 CO TA Indian Army from their possessions.
During sustained questioning both the accused persons revealed that on pretext of providing jobs in army (TA) they have duped lakhs of Rupees from many persons from Bishna,Kupwara,Banihal, Ramban,Samba etc.. The accused persons were further being questioned to ascertain the modus operandi of the crime and other aspects related to the case. The investigation of the case is still in progress.
