Director Information convenes meeting with Divisional, District Level Officers

Jammu, Nov 14: Director Information & Public Relations, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar today convened an exhaustive meeting with the divisional and district level officers to review the working of their respective offices.
The meeting deliberated upon strategies to further enhance the efficacy and expertise in the District Information Offices in Jammu region besides taking stock of issues and concerns of these departmental entities.
The Director Information said DIPR being instrumental in dissemination of all vital information regarding government working and programmes needs to be strengthened at all levels so as to make it a vibrant entity in the world of knowledge and information. She emphasized the officers to recognize the significance of their multi faceted role towards raising awareness in the society about the government schemes besides focussing on promoting cultural events on various social evils suggesting the ways to get rid of those. "To act as a strong bridge between the government and the public must be their prime concern while performing our day to day duties", she exhorted upon them.
The participants, while highlighting several issues concerning further streamlining of their respective offices, sought Director's intervention in redressal of the same.
Among others present in the meeting were Joint Director, Information, Jammu, Naresh Kumar; Deputy Director (Central), Parveen Kumar, Deputy Director, Audio Visual, Rakesh Dubey, Deputy Director Headquarters, Jammu, Rehana Akhtar Bijli, Divisional and District level Officers besides other senior officers of the department.
