BJP hails appointment of Khan, Sharma as advisors

JAMMU, Nov 14: Welcoming the appointment of Farooq Khan and K K Sharma as advisors to Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Executive Member Raman Suri today said that the decision will go a long way in streamlining the system of governance in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and also ensure a completely transparent and an accountable government.
Raman Suri said that apt handling of administrative affairs of Lakshadweep by Farooq Khan has enabled him to now take good care of his home Unione Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the new advisors are assets of the UT who have vast experience of administrative affairs especially Farooq Khan who had worked hard when the state was in turmoil and proved his credentials.
The BJP leader hoped that all the developmental activities that had come to a stand still will be rejuvenated and pending or abandoned projects will be taken by the departments under the able guidance of these two advisors. He also hoped that issues confronting employees, business community, tour and travel agencies, traders, manufacturers and hoteliers besides other businesses will be addressed and a new Jammu and Kashmir will be developed under the guidance of Mr Khan and Mr Sharma.
Raman Suri also drew the attention of Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu and his team of advisors towards pending projects of Jammu and Kashmir region including restoration of Mubarak Mandi, Artificial lake, Cable Car, River Tawi View Front, Flyovers, AIIMS and Development of Dal Lake and hoped that work on them will be expedited.
