Receiving Sub-station inaugurated at Gangyal

JAMMU, Nov 15: Ajeet Agarwal, CMD, REC Limited and Commissioner Secretary PDD Hirdesh Kumar Singh today inaugurated 33/11KV Gangyal Receiving Sub-station developed under PMDP scheme.
The inaugural ceremony was also attended by senior officers of J&K Power Corporation Limited, RECPDCL, New Delhi and L&T.
The Sub-station has been constructed with state-of-art technologies having SCADA compatibility with provision of operation from remote location.
Gangyal Sub-station is located in the SICOP industrial hub of Jammu cantonment. It will be fed from 132/33 KV Grid Station, Gangyal.
To cater the increasing industrial load and to segregate Industrial load from domestic/commercial consumers, the new 33/11KV, 2x 10 MVA substation has been constructed.
Gangyal 33/11 KV Sub-station will cater the load demand of approximately 3000 consumers through 5 11 KV outgoing feeders thus marching a step in the endeavor of PDD to provide 24x7 power supply.
The substation will strengthen the power distribution system of Jammu and will help in ensuring reliable power supply to residential and commercial areas of Jammu-Gangyal.
