| MVD Poonch, Traffic Police crackdown against traffic violators | | |  Early Times Report
Poonch, Nov 15: A team of Motor Vehicle Department Poonch and Traffic Police today cracked down against traffic violators in Jammu poonch Highway
Intense inspections of vehicles were conducted in view of the increasing road accidents in the region. The team was led by ARTO Poonch Jugal Sharma and DySP Traffic Rajouir-Poonch which laid down a naka to conduct inspection of vehicles.
ARTO Poonch said that action will be taken against motorists for using high intensity lights, without renewing fitness and insurance, use of air-horn and those neglecting safety measures like helmets etc. He said that strict action will be taken against violators who use personal vehicles for commercial purpose. "We are very particular against underage children who drive in violation of norms and in this case the vehicle will be seized and FIR against the children as well as on their parents will be lodged for negligence," ARTO Poonch said.
He further said that they are creating awareness among the masses but those who will not follow the traffic rules will be dealt with strong hand. |
