PTU demands to end discrimination with Jammu
11/15/2019 10:09:52 PM
Early times Report

Jammu, Nov 15: Panthers Trade Union (PTU) has criticized the UT administration for alleged continued discrimination with Jammu.
S. Paramjeet Singh Marshall, President PTU said it is evident from the fact the administration in UT of J&K has granted Rs 20 crores for disaster preparedness in Kashmir province where as Jammu has been granted mere 6 crores.
"Here question is not Why Kashmir is given Rs 20 crores but question arises that Jammu region is being discriminated? The state Disaster Response Fund have released funds only for three districts of Jammu regions comprising of Ramban, Doda & Kishtwar where as 2 crores have been for each ten districts of Kashmir province.
It is sheer discrimination with Jammu region as Jammu too requires additional funds that used to develop infrastructure for relief and rescue from severe cold, landslides and flash floods. It is unfortunate time and again nationalistic people of Jammu facing the brunt and being ignored", he said.
He urged the L.G to take notice of such discriminatory attitude of J&K administration and allocate equal distribution of funds to both Jammu and Kashmir. So, that no area of Jammu is being deprived of relief and rescue operations. The lives of the people will be secure at all costs.
If the discrimination here not stopped on this stage, Panthers Party will soon start protest at all districts of Jammu against the discriminatory attitude of J&K administration.
Infact it will not hesitate to go the court for providing Justice to the people.
