Rich Harvest school hosts patriotic group song competiton

Jammu, Nov 14: Rich Harvest school Bari Brahmana played host to Interschool Patriotic Group Song Competition under the banner of Sahodaya Schools Complex - Jammu chapter.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary Academy of Art, Culture and Language. The function was presided over by Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak , Former Minister of R& B and Higher Education, Chairman Dogra Educational Trust, Nirmal Mahana, President of Sahodaya Schools Complex was a special guest. Also present on the occasion was the Managing Director of the School Sh.Gambhir Dev Singh Charak and Director Mrs .Ruchi Charak.
The Program started with the lighting of the ceremonial Lamp by the distinguished guests who sought blessings of the divine mother for the congregation.
The Principal Ms Anita Bhatia accorded a warm welcome by presenting floral bouquets to the honoured guests. 220 participants from 22 CBSE Schools were in the arena for the mega event. The feel and magic of patriotism was everywhere. One after the other beautiful and melodious patriotic songs were sung by the children making judgment a difficult task for the eminent judges from the field of Music and fine Arts.
An esteemed team of judges was led by Prof VM Kohli included Mr Ramesh Chander and Mr Virendar Kavari. However, first prize was bagged by Rich Harvest School . GD Goenka was a close second and third position was awarded to Indian public school.
The Chief Guest, Dr Amn urged the children to work hard as the future of India rests on their shoulders. He told them to remain focus and be on their guard against negative forces. The Chairman of the School Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak Ji applauded the efforts of participants and their mentors for the captivating musical extravaganza.
