Jammu, Nov 16: Resentment is brewing against the Physical Education Department which has failed to pay the salaries of three thousand Rehbar-e-Khel teachers all over the union territory of the J&K for the last 9 months besides their postings in the schools to provide physical education to children instead attaching them in concerned Zonal offices sources said here today.
Sources said that for the last 9 months the three thousand Rehber-e-Khel teachers all over in J&K UT have not been paid their dues for the reasons best known to the men at helms which has caused financial crisis among them and they confront with a lots of problems in their day to day life while the authorities seems to be in deep slumber on the issue of these hapless teachers. They also raised their voice against the unprecedented attachments in the concerned zonal offices inspite to send them into the schools to perform their duties.
While talking to Early Times on ReK Mohd Imtiaz Khan said that ReKs have been attached with zonal offices for the unnecessarily while as they were supposed to be posted in schools to perform our duties adding one fails to understand what was the fun of attaching Reks in zone offices.
Another ReK Mukhtar Ahmed said that there was no need to attach us with zonal offices. We want to be posted in schools where we can discharge our duties accordingly to serve the purpose for which we lent our sevices yet being in zonal offices was of no meaning , he added. It is a genuine demand of ReKS to post them in schools" said Sikander Khan District sports officer Poonch while talking to Early Times adding that he had a meeting with DG sports who has asked to submit their documents to take final decision on the issue ", he added.
