| Congress OBC criticizes winding up of commissions | | | Early times Report
Jammu, Nov 16: A meeting of OBC Department JKPCC was held here at Congress HQ Shaheedi Chowk Jammu in which the District Chairman of OBC Deptt. from four districts were also present, The meeting was presided over by Chairman OBC Deptt. Pradesh Congress Committee J&k Adv. Suresh Kumar Dogra. In the meeting the constitutional and legal rights of OBC were discussed, Adv. Suresh Dogra said that with the extension of UT by State , The UT Govt. has wound up seven Govt. Commissions, but the State Commission for Backward Classes is continuous in process despite of National Commission for Backward Classes, it is a big deception and fraud by the part of the Govt, being 52% population in J&K, Govt. is not caring for our demands, since the formation of SCBC in May 24th in 1995 there is no OBC representative in the panel of the said Commission. Instead of giving adequate representation in this panel the erstwhile BJP- PDP Govt. Nominated only non OBC members in the panel and betrayed people. In the present UT it is demanded to disbanding this panel after October 31st .If the J&k administration is directly controlled by Centre and there is provision of one law and one nation in the UT, then why the step mother behaviour is being done by 52% population of J&K, We urge the LG. |
