Jammu, Nov 16: The official website of Government Medical College and Hospital Kathua shows Dr Shashi Sudan Sharma as Principal of the Medical College which raises a question that Has GMC Kathua two Principals.
GMC Kathua on its website www.gmckathua.in appeared with Dr Shashi Sudan Sharma is still Principal of the College whereas the then State Administrative Council (SAC) which met under the chairmanship of then Governor, Satya Pal Malik accorded sanction to the appointment of Principals for Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar and five new GMCs of Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Kathua and Rajouri on regular basis. In which Dr. Sulaiman Choudhary (Professor) was appointed as Principal GMC, Kathua.
The official website of the Government Medical College and Hospital Kathua has been a victim of official neglect.
Officials said a separate fund has been fixed for the maintenance of the website yearly but despite that, the website is not maintained properly. "It is useless as information was not updated by the concerned authority. Other medical institutes or academic institutes update their respective websites on a daily basis for the convenience of the general public," they added. |
