Traders irked over flowing of drain water on road

MENDHAR, Nov 17: Traders of Mendhar market are irked over the flow of dirty drain water on road in the town, putting locals in severe problem.
Locals Traders of the area including Jimmi Malik, Rakesh Kumar, Ashu Bhatia and others said that a drain water was flowing from last several decades but the water flow has been diverted suddenly by the concerned authorities.
They further said that due to diversion in flow of water, the drain water is now flowing over road stretch and also entering in the business establishments. The people moving on foot are facing lot of hardships. Moreover, the drain is giving foul smell.
The local residents further added that the road stretch over which water is flowing heads to Govt Girls Hr sec School Mendhar, Main Market Mendhar and State Bank of India hundreds of people move over it and everyone is facing problem.
Locals demanded immediate solution of the problem. They said it has become routine every day and no body is bothered about the matter.
Thesildar Mendhar Dr Vikram Raina when contacted said that he will take up the matter with concerned officials for redressal of the problem.
