Annual meeting of home for aged & infirm organised

Jammu, Nov 17: The Annual General Body Meeting of Home for the Aged and Infirm, Ambphalla, Jammu popularly known as Vridh Ashram, established on 8th June 1964, was held today under the Chairmanship of its President, I.D. Soni, State Commissioner, J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides.
During the meeting, the Annual Report and Audited Accounts for the year 2018-2019 and Budget proposals for the year 2019-2020 presented by Secretary, Vijay Kumar Bhagotra, were adopted by the House. A well-equipped Physiotherapic Care Centre has been working since 15-12-2015. The services of this Care Centre have been extended at reasonable rates to other Senior Citizens as well.
As three years term of the present Managing Committee elected on 18-12-2016 is to expire, so I.D. Soni and Er. Vijay Kumar Bhagotra were unanimously re-elected as President and Honorary Secretary respectively for a further term of three years.
The elected President shall reconstitute the Committee as per Constitution. Sh. I.D. Soni appealed the general public for liberal donations in cash and in kind on regular basis for day to day needs of the inmates and further improvement in their facilities and amenities as well as maintenance of requisite infrastructure and assets of the Home.
Vijay Bhagotra, Secretary urged the members to visit the Home at their convenience from time to time to favour the management with their valuable suggestions for further overall improvement in living conditions of the inmates as well as functioning of the Home.
Besides large number of Members of its General Body, Prem Gupta IPS Former Inspector General of Police J&K, Patron, H.S. Manhas, Vice President, Er. B.B. Gupta, Joint Secretary, Members of the Managing Committee, Vijay Gupta, Nirmala Zutshi, R.C. Vaid, Er. Ponit Nanda, Er. Pankaj Gupta, Dinesh Gupta and Vinod Kumar were present in the meeting, which concluded with their lunch along with the inmates.
