Div. Com. visits multimedia exhibition on 550thPrakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev ji

Jammu, Nov 17: As a part of ongoing celebrations of 550th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji throughout the country a Mutlimedia Exhibition organized by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India, Jammu was visited by Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu today on the third day at Gurduwara Singh Sabha, Shri Guru Nanak Nagar.
The multimedia exhibition depicts the life, teachings, sermons and philosophy of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji through digital displays and interactive interfaces to engage public at large. Various facets of Guru Nanak DevJi's philosophy of KiratKaro, NaamJapo and VandChakko are showcased in the exhibition.
Sanjeev Verma in his address said that he feels blessed to be in the premises of Shri Gurudwara Sahib ji and that he is humbled to know more and more about Dhan Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji through the efforts of ROB which are put up in mounting this Multimedia Exhibition on the life, teachings and miracles of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji. He urged the gathering to preserve and promote the use of Gurmikhi (Punjabi).
He was of the view that Gurubani purify our souls. Guru Nanak Dev ji not only preached 'Vand Chhako' (Share and Eat) but also protected the society from 'vand'( getting divided).
Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, ROB and DD News J&K in her address said that Multimedia Exhibition will include creative designs for display showcasing the life, preaching and philosophy of Guru Nanak DevJi.
Sr. Gurmeet Singh, General Secretary, Gurudwara Shri Singh Sabha Nanak Nagar Jammu also spoke on the occasion telling he was highly obliged towards the Union Government for its initiative that for first time since independence the celebrations for Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji were taking place throughout the country at an unprecedented scale.
