MIER celebrates 84th Foundation Day

Jammu, Nov 17: To commemorate the completion of 84 glorious years of committed service and excellence in the field of education, Model Institute of Education and Research (MIER) celebrated its Foundation Day today.
On this occasion, an impressive programme on the theme "Anant Uday" was organised by the institute at its B.C. Road campus. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Farooq Khan Advisor to the Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
On his arrival, the Chief Guest was accorded a warm reception by Dr. Arun K Gupta Chairman and Dr. Renu Gupta, Vice Chairperson MIER Group of Institutions along with Directors, Jt. Directors and other senior officers of the Institute. Director MIER, Dr. Adit Gupta formally welcomed the Chief Guest and described him as an exemplary and far-sighted administrator who has a long list of administrative positions to his credit.
Dr. Gupta also welcomed other Ranjit Kalra, an eminent sports person and member JKCA, dignitaries from various educational institutions, and the parents of the MIER group of institutions and expressed his gratitude to one and all for giving full support to MIER for eighty-four years in the achievement of its noble educational objectives.
In a felicitation ceremony, mementoes were also presented to the students of the school who exceled in academics and won medals at the national level sports events by the chief guest. A cheque of Rs.20000/- was also presented to the winning teams of Under 14 and Under 16 category of the MIER Cricket Academy by Ranjit Kalra, Eminent Sports Person and member JKCA along with the chief guest.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Farooq Khan, in his address extended heartiest congratulations to MIER on this occasion and lauded the institution for disseminating quality education. teachers in the organization of a marvellous cultural programme.
A Vote of Thanks was presented by Rupa Gupta, Joint Director, MIER who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest and parents on behalf of the students, staff and management for providing the much needed encouragement and assured that the institute will continue to serve the society with greater enthusiasm and dedication.
