Jammu, Nov 18: The SKUAST-Jammu Employees Cricket Team was flagged off by the Vice Chancellor Dr. K.S. Risam. The employees cricket team is participating in the 17th Edition of "All India Vice-Chancellor's T-20 Cricket Tournament" being organized by the Shivaji University, Kolhapur at Kolhapur, Maharashtra from 18th November, 2019 to 30th November, 2019.
The Vice -Chancellor wished good luck to the team and advised the players to present themselves as true ambassadors of the University by upholding the spirit of sportsmanship.
The SKUAST-Jammu is placed in pool "A" alongwith University of Pune, Jalgaon University, Punjab Agriculture University(PAU), Ludhiana and last Edition Champions Jamia Millia University, Delhi. The SKUAST-Jammu opens its campaign against the University of Pune.
Kewal K. Raina is the Coach/Mentor of the Team while Dhiraj is accompanying the team as Manager.
The team comprises of Naresh Bhat ( C ), Vinod Kumar, Anoop K. Sharma, Manjeet Singh, Mohd. Razzak, Niraj Singh Manhas, Praveen K. Sharma, Shambu Nath, Abdul Hamid, Mohd. Nissar, S.Jagmohan Singh, Mohd. Imran, Suraj Prakash and S. Kuldeep Singh. |
