| MPEJ flays Congress leaders for claiming development during their tenure | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 18: The Members of the Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice in their statement issued here said that some top leaders of Congress are claiming that during their rule the state, especially the Kathua-Udhampur Doda parliamentary constituency made many achievements in the field of development & education. They wondered why such leaders don't feel ashamed to speak such big lies. Let us first take the cases of education during the last 20 years. The infamous scam regards ETT happened during the Congress or Congress-NC coalition while education was headed by Congress ministers only. Innumerable new schools were opened only to benefit some favourties, thronging all other norms to the winds & that is why most of such schools are defunct these days having 4/5 students & 2/3 teachers. Former Education Minister Naeem Akhtar later did a good deed by merging many such schools into some viable school. No Chief Minister gave any importance to education as Late Sheikh Mohd Abdullah had done by keeping this portfolio to himself. The Congress made middle pass man the Education Minister during whose Minister ship the department suffered a great loss & many scams occurred which were highlighted by the media. It was in sequel to many other scams during other previous Education Ministers of Congress. |
