Kalakote, Nov 18: Resented over alleged encroachment on Government High School Bhatera, Kalakote the local residents hold and demanded action against the illegal occupation.
The local resident met Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalakot Krishna Lal and warned that if the illegal possession of the school land is not removed, they will go out on the road with school children and perform Dharna. The ADC however, assured the local that action as per law will be taken in some found guilty in the case.
Sarpanch of the village Sunil Kumar, Former Sarpanch Amarnath, Naib Sarpanch Rajendra Kumar, Numberdar Ajay Singh, Sunit Singh, Ram Prakash, Chaman Lal, and other villagers gathered in the school campus and protested. They claimed according to school records, since 1976, the name of the school was allotted to 51 Kanal, which comes in Khasra number 52 Khasra number 76 and about 4 Kanal of land from this land.
But Niyaz ul Haq son Sher Mohammad has started claiming his right by taking illegal possession whereas, he doesn't have any revenue record to support his claims. "Over illegally occupied the place, where he has sown wheat was labeled for school ground by spending Rs 1 lakh rupees from the MLA fund in the year 2013 and that place belongs to the school", they said. |
