Jammu, Nov 18: A group of militants fled during a search the operation conducted by security forces on late last night in Surankote village of Poonch district.
After receiving specific information about the presence of militants, security forces (Army and Police) launched a search operation in Surankote in the wee hours of Monday morning, police sources said. "Searches were going on, the militants fired upon the forces, who retaliated, but they fled from the spot", they added. The security forces carried search operation to flush out the hiding militants. "We made a contact with them, but after firing several bullets they (militants) escaped from the spot", they said. |
