National Draughts-64 Championship organised

Jammu, Nov 18: National Draughts-64 championship 2019 under the ages of Draughts Association of India was held at the premises of C. L. Agarwal DAV model school, SEC 7B, chandigarh in which about 250 children from the states: Punjab, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Telangana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh,Andhra Pradesh,Himachal Pradesh and union Territories of Chandigarh and union territory of Jammu and Kashmir participated and were presented gold, silver and bronze medals on the basis of their performance. The medal winners were Harmanjeet Singh-Gold, Manharpreet Singh-gold, Arush won silver medal. Abhimanyu Sharma won bronze medal.
The students of New Public Brilliant High school R. S. Pura namely Neetali khajuria, Meetali panjotra won gold medal whereas Manik, krishna, Sarabjeet, Himanshu won bronze medals.The Draughts matches were officiated by a panel of experts namely Dr. Vikas, Ishan Jain, Tajinder Singh, etc. The championship was organised under the overall supervision of Balwinder Singh Johal, General secretary and cooperated by Suchita Sharma. The medal winners of national championship will be going to participate in international Draughts championship-2020. Pramod Khajuria, from J and K was also present as a guest.
